Daniel K. Svoboda, of David City died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Monday, November 8, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 Sunday, November 7 at Chermok Funeral Home in David City and from 5:00 - 6:00 pm at St. Mary's Church, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 pm at the church. Visitation will resume Monday from 9:00 - 10:00 am at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in David City.
Daniel was born on April 16, 1940 in Brainard, Nebraska to Raymond P. and Antonia (Hofbauer) Svoboda. He did odd jobs at the Senior Center, loved Polka music and made yarn covered clothes hangers to give as gifts. He loved his family and looked forward to family gatherings.
Daniel is survived by a brother: Leonard (Nadine) Svoboda of Columbus; sisters: Elsie Divis of David City and Lucille (Earl) Brauckmuller of Greenwood, NE; sisters-in-law: Mabel Svoboda of Lincoln, Adalyne Svoboda of Columbus and Gladys Svoboda of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Raymond, Ernest and Emanuel Svoboda.
The family suggests memorials to St. Joseph's Court/Villa or the David City Senior Center.
