Clara A. Meysenburg, 104, of David City, died Thursday, December 28, 2023, at David Place.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in David City. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5 until 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery with lunch following at the David City Auditorium. Chermok Funeral Home is handling arrangements for Clara's family.
Memorials may be directed to family wishes for a later designation.
Clara (Puetz) Meysenburg was born October 29, 1919 in David City, the daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth (Schmit) Puetz. She married Joseph Meysenburg January 15, 1941 in Bellwood.
She is survived by: three daughters, Betty (Jerry) Votava of Columbus, Carol (Hugh) Johnson of Omaha, Donna (Barry) Waller of Elkhorn; two sons, Michael (Leslie) Meysenburg of LaGrange, Wyoming and Pat Meysenburg of David City; one sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Jerry Meysenburg; 33 grandchildren, 87 great grandchildren, and 29 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, in 1989, parents, 3 daughters and their spouses: MaryJo (Harvey) Novak, Barbara (Mark) Brandhorst, and Bev (Larry) Hain, 1 additional son-in-law, Hugh Johnson, 1 brother, 4 sisters, 1 grandson, and 1 granddaughter.
