Christine Kozisek, 82, of David City, entered into rest Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.
A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 am Saturday, April 24, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Friday, April 23 at St. Mary's Church followed by a PCCW Rosary at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue Saturday one hour before the funeral mass.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in David City.
Christine was born February 11, 1928 in David City to Piet and Minnie (Jakub) Peters. She lived her entire life in the David City and Surprise areas. On February 7, 1950, Christine married Arthur A. Kozisek in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ulysses. To this union 8 children were born.
Christine was a homemaker and mother, and cooked for St. Mary's School, Aquinas High School and David City Public Elementary School. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and PCCW. She enjoyed NASCAR, baking, her flowers and animals.
Christine is survived by sons: Chuck (Heather) Kozisek of Omaha, Leo Kozisek of David City, Steve Kozisek of Greely, Colorado, John (Kristy) Kozisek of Las Vegas, Nevada and Tim (Diane) Kozisek of David City; daughters: Bea (Joe) Wilson, of David City, Rita (Kevin) Sorensen, of David City, and Jill (Keith) Stara of Rising City; brothers: John (Norma) Peters of David City, Paul Peters of Seward and Bill Peters of Shelby; sisters: Nellie Brockeveldt, Marie (Joe) Kozisek, Dorothy Zegers and Virginia Brockeveldt, all of David City; grandchildren: Aaron Kozisek, Amy (Rob) Cook, Donna Morgan, Meagan (Josh)Noble, Kelly Kozisek, Traci McLain, Nick Kozisek, Brody Stara and Ariah Stara; and great grandchildren: Colton Tichota and Janie Rae Noble.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Brian Kozisek.
Memorials may be made "In Care of the Family".
