Christian Eller

Christian F. "Chris" Eller passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 in Lincoln at the age of 88. Chris was born May 27, 1923 in Schuyler to Christian and Elsie (Lambrecht) Eller. He attended school in Schuyler and graduated from Schuyler High School. Chris farmed most of his life and also worked as an auto mechanic and in the meat packing plant. On January 24, 1948, Chris married Valda Foust at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Chris was a longtime member of the Colfax County Weed Board. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Valda of Schuyler, sons: Paul (Kelly) Eller of Schuyler and Rick (Marilyn) Eller of Schuyler, grandchildren: Krissy Milburn, Heather Eller-Gilman, Matthew Eller, Kathryn Eller, Ricky Eller, Elizabeth Eller and Ted Gans; 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, brother Emerson and sister Alvena Hobza. Memorials may be made to "Family's Choice".
