Celestine "Sally" Sisel, 89, widow of Raymond, of David City, formerly of Dwight, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at David Place in David City.

Sally was born on August 11, 1928, on the farm near Dwight, to John and Marie (Policky) Anderly. She attended local schools, graduating from Dwight Public High School. After high school, she went on to earn her teaching certificate, and taught in a one room school house for a short time. She worked as a candy dipper at Russell Stover Candies in Lincoln for many years. She could tell you the candy flavor of all the candies from their design on the tops of each piece.
Sally married Raymond Sisel on October 16, 1950. Four children were born to this union. She was a member of Dwight Assumption Church and the Valparaiso Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed polka music, reading, doing word search puzzles, people watching and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
Sally is survived by her daughters: Rae Ann (Jim) Mastny of Dwight, Peggy (Don) Vrana of Olathe, Ks, sister: LaVerne Novacek of David City, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and special friend, Sherri Meysenburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray in 1989, infant son, Lyle, daughter, Gwen Potter in 2001, two brothers, Richard and Raymond Anderly.
