Bohumila "Bob" Kampschnieder, 102, formerly of Howells, passed away Wednesday, December 21 in Dodge. Bohumila was born on February 15, 1909 to Anton and Anna (Mestle) Dvorak. She attended school in Dodge. On May 1, 1933 she married Victor Kampschnieder at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. She was a homemaker and helped her husband farm in the Dodge and Howells areas until 1973 when they moved to Howells. Bohumila was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Howells, the Womens Club, Catholic Workman, American Legion Auxillary, Christian Mothers and the Jolly Stitchers. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and quilting. Bohumila is survived by 2 sons: Melvin (Bernie) Kampschnieder of Columbus, Jim (Lois) Kampschnieder of Ogallala; 2 daughters: Theresa (Robert) Michaels of Salinas, CA and Janet (Ted) Brabec of Howells; 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Marion (Don) Bukosky of Omaha and Bill Desmond of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Victor, sons Ralph and Kenneth and daughter-in-law Judy Desmond. The family suggests Memorials to Howells Catholic Community School.
