Blanche Spulak, 93, formerly of Schuyler passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Blanche was born on August 20, 1924 in rural Cuming County to Alois and Mary (Pacas) Bures. On October 30, 1970 she married Lumir Spulak. For 28 years they owned and operated Spulak's Ready to Wear Clothing Store in Schuyler.
Blanche loved camping adventures that she and Lumir took in their RV towing the boat behind to find new fishing spots. She was an avid bowler and even formed a bowling team with her sisters. Blanche loved her garden and canning her crop. Quilting and bingo were also favorite hobbies. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Blanche is survived by her sons: Richard (Leota) Kucera of Walton, Nebraska, John (Susan) Kucera of Hampstead, Maryland, and daughter: Marie (John) Kaup of Dodge; three sisters: Mildred Sedlacek of Columbus, Mary Ann Schroeder of Columbus, and Patsy Kreikemeier of West Point as well as 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lumir in 2000, four brothers: Louis, Rudy, Eddie, Lumir Bures and one sister Libbie Schroeder.
