Becky J. Peters

Becky Peters, 45, of Schuyler passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 at CHI Schuyler Memorial Hospital.

Becky Jean Peters was born on March 22, 1974 in Schuyler to Larry and Carolyn (Oborny) Peters. Becky graduated from Schuyler Central High School in 1992 and completed the Radiologic Technology program at Bergan Mercy in 1994. Becky worked as a Radiographer for Columbus Community Hospital, as a secretary at St. Mary’s Church in Schuyler, and, recently worked at the Girl Scout Office in Columbus.

Becky devoted a large portion of her life to raising three wonderful boys: Cole, Kyle, and Brady. She served as a leader of the local Boy Scouts and coached her boys in soccer and baseball. Becky could be heard telling people that she loved to attend “my boys’” activities.

Becky’s family and friends will always remember her bright smile and cheerful personality, love for everything Disney, and how she would decorate her entire house for every season. No matter what Becky did, including decorating birthday cakes, it had a personal touch.

Survivors are her sons: Cole, Kyle, and Brady Jedlicka; parents Larry and Carolyn Peters of Schuyler; sisters: Kelly (Ernie) Schulz of Ozark, Missouri and Deb (Scott) Cunningham of Omaha; nieces and nephews: Tyler and Paige Cunningham of Omaha; Ryan and Hallie Schulz of Ozark, Missouri.

Preceded in death by her grandparents: Jack and Winifred (Kelly) Peters; Stanley and Sylvia (Fendrick) Oborny.
