Beatrice M. Polacek, 98, of Bruno, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at David Place.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, March 6 at 10:30am at St. Anthony de Padua Church, Bruno with Fr. Ronald Homes officating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Viewing will be on Wednesday from 12-4pm at Chermok Funeral Home and after 6pm at the church followed by a 7PM rosary also at church. There will be viewing one hr before services on Thursday at the church.
Beatrice was bron on March 15, 1909 to Robert and Mary(Divis) Stava at Bruno, Nebraska. She married Adolph Polacek on June 30, 1931 at Bruno, Nebraska. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church and PCCW all of her life. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, baking dancing, canning and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son Gary(Geraldine) Polacek of Bruno, Daughter: Rita(Leonard) Chapek of Weston, Daughter-in-law: Dot Polacek of Gulfport, MS; two brothers: Robert Stava of David City and Dennis(Rose Marie) Stava of Lincoln; three sisters: Lillian Pesek of David City; Elaine(Milo)Meduna of Weston; and Edith(Ed) Wrona of Omaha. 10 Grandchildren; 13 Great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1988; son Eldon in 2007, one brother Emil Stava; four sisters: Albina Patocka, Georgia Crha, Mildred Gibilisco, and Ella Koza; sister-in-law: Alleyne Polacek.
Memorials may be given in care of the family or to the Bruno Fire Department.
