Coleen B Matulka, 52 of Arlington, TX, died Thursday, January 26th 2012 from complications of breast cancer at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 3:00pm in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Bernard Kimminau as celebrant.
Memorials may be given to Aquinas High School or any Catholic Charity of your choice.
Coleen was born on September 28th 1959 in David City, NE to Joseph and Ann Matulka. She was a graduate of Aquinas High School in David City and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
After graduation, she moved to Arlington, TX where she resided there for over 29 years. She worked as a realtor and was the assistant manager at Ernie’s sea food restaurant.
She loved spending time with her friends and family, and made many trips to Nebraska to celebrate family events and holidays. She had a great sense of humor and happy disposition and made many friends in Texas.
Survivors include sisters: Roberta (Ken) Kramer of Papillion; Lora (Jeff) Higgins of Omaha; Patricia (Gupta) Sookram of Lincoln; and Sonja (Bernard) Stolfa of Tulsa, OK. Brothers: David (Ruth) Matulka of Timberlake, N.C.; Dan (Deb) Matulka of Columbus; Bernard (Marianne) Matulka of David City; Joe F. (Anne) Matulka of Blair and Craig Matulka of Bee. 24 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Janet Miller.
Cremation with private family burial to be held at a later date.
