Arthur Kudlacek, 96, of Brainard died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at David Place in David City.
Funeral Services are 10 am Monday, April 27 at St. Mary's Church in David City.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 26 from 4-6 pm at Holesovsky Mortuary in Brainard and from 6:30 - 7:30 pm at the Klein Center (Holy Trinity Church) Brainard. A Rosary will follow at 7:30 pm Sunday at the Klein Center. Visitation will continue Monday one hour before the services at St. Mary's Church in David City.
Burial will be in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Brainard.
Arthur was born on December 18, 1912 in rural Garrison to Fred and Josephine (Coufal) Kudlacek. He married Adeline Svoboda on November 15, 1937 at Holy Trinity Church in Brainard. Arthur lived and farmed in the Brainard area his entire life. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, the Center Township Board, and the Election Board. He enjoyed his family, farming, gardening, hunting and fishing, trapping, bowling and riding his four wheeler. He was a champion Trap Shooter, brining home many trophies and prizes.
Arthur is survived by a son: Loran (Marlene) Kudlacek of David City; daughters: Nancy (Herman) Laurent of Fayetteville, AR, and Beverly (Ronald) Machacek of Weston, NE; brother: William Kudlacek of Sutton, AK; sister: Celestine Svoboda of David City; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Adeline in 1991.
Memorials are suggested to "Family's Choice".
