Alma Juzek 110 years young, formerly of Schuyler died on October 12, 2020 at the Clarkson Care and Rehab Center in Clarkson. She had resided there since 2009 where she had received excellent care from the caring nurses and staff and the wonderful Aseracare staff, who all lovingly called her “Grandma”.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 16, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Schuyler, with Fr. Gerry Gonderinger officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 4 until 6 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. all at Svoboda Funeral Home-South Chapel. Masks will be required for the visitation and mass. Interment will be in the Schuyler Cemetery. Svoboda Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the family.
Alma Juzek was born on November 20, 1909 on the family farm north of Richland to William and Anna (Sloup) Juzek. She attended Colfax County rural school District 41. Alma loved living on the farm, tending to her garden, and baking. Cats held a special place in Alma’s heart and she loved the many cats she cared for.
Alma is survived by cousins and many caregivers.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Anna, sister Emma (Joe) Benes, and brothers Charlie and Bill Juzek.
