Alice was born on March 4, 1924 at Brainard, Nebraska to Henry and Julia (Bongers) Behne. She married Ernest Moravec on April 24, 1944 at St. Francis Church, Center. Two children were born to this union. She lived in the Butler County area all of her life and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Ulysses until moving to David City where she was a member of St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed baking, embroidery, gardening, canning and fishing.
Alice is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ernest; one daughter: Donna Lou (Dennis) Steager of Rising City; daughter-in-law: Donna Moravec of David City; one sister: Delores (Jean) Kuhl of David City; 5 Grandchildren; Mike and Donnie Moravec, Jeanette Work, Donnie and Dannie Steager; 14 Great-grandchildren: Grace, Hannah, Ella, Jacob, Mary-Kate and Elizabeth Moravec, Chris, Perrin, and Jason Work, Ty, Taylor, and McKenna Steager and Maddie and Jackson Moravec.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Donald in 2011; and one brother: Norman Behne.
